A CATCH UP
Hi guys! Whats new?
So it's the Easter Break, my Draft is handed in. I am awaiting feedback and currently collating ideas together for my Diagram.
I feel a sense of relief and achievement after handing my draft in, accountable for an Academic Essay. After emailing this over to my supervisor, I find myself going back to the Document and highlighting areas which could be improved, ie. researching more academic references.
I am eager to receive my feedback and continue to develop my essay for the final submission.
As part of our portfolio we are to hand in a 'Diagram'. I am currently questioning:
Who am I inspired by?
My artistic linage and training.
Also (if anyone can help with these questions) :
How to reference Google Images?
How to reference personal Images?
Ethically can we mention individuals or does this require consent?
Due to the restrictions easing on April 12th in England, my schedule has suddenly become a lot more busy with going back to work, rehearsing. and training. When starting this module I had a lot of free time to focus on my study. Acknowledging that I will now have to be aware of when I am able to dedicate time for study to improve my draft and create my Diagram.
Good luck to everyone completing/ handing in their drafts for the deadline on APRIL 12th. I think it's important to keep reminding ourselves of what we have achieved since starting in February. Exploring new theories, new theorists, depicting and unpacking our practise and understanding the likes of Google Scholar and Referencing.
We have our next Module One Discussion on Monday 19th, looking forward to discussing ideas and catching up with those who are attending the call!

Hi Ellie, As far as I'm aware you don't have to reference a personal image as its not copyright as its your own product/thing. I definitely want to know if we can mention peoples names as I definitely plan of referring to specific teachers when talking about my inspirations. I hope everything goes well for you going back to work and I look forward to hearing more about your diagram! x
ReplyDeleteHi Niamh,
DeleteThank you! That's really helpful regarding referencing personal images.
Hopefully the latter is something we can clarify in our next Module Call. x
