MODULE ONE FOCUS CALL 19/04/21

MODULE ONE FOCUS CALL: SYNTHESISING INFORMATION.

19/04/21

We discussed: How are things in relationship with one another?

How is existing theory in relationship with our practise. Visualise our practise in relationship with those around it.

Helen reminded us all to acknowledge where the barriers are in our practise. Why and how are things marginalised, undervalued and deemed as unprofessional. Recognise which field you sit and how you are experienced these arguments.

As a group we discussed how to access literature. We found researching key words in the text a popular focal point, working through the Handbook and then referring to academic sources and finding contradictory research.

QUESTION EXPERIENCES

BE OPEN TO ASSUMPTIONS

A QUEST FOR LEARNING

Helen stressed the importance of the 'ing' in establishing. We are still in the process of establishing our practise, this is on going therefore its okay not to have a definition for this.

DIAGRAM:

We are able to write a short statement which contextualises and introduces our diagram. A couple of sentences, max. How it is communicating something for you. What you've made and why? We are able to incorporate our reference list within it if possible. Our understanding and research is infused through our diagram. It is ultimately establishing our essay in a different way.

As our diagram is for purpose of assessment it is to remain private and not published.

Hope this adds clarity for anyone who couldn't attend the call. Writing this blog has been a great reminder and revision on the call.
